Ellyse Perry made her debut in international cricket without even playing a match at senior level. She made her debut at the age of 16 years against New Zealand.
Perry won her first World T20 Title in her second World cup appearance in 2010. She was the Player of the Final in the final match of the 2010 t20 world cup.
In the year 2011-12, Perry was also the part of the T20 world cup winning team. This was her second consecutive World T20 title. She again made Player of the Match performance in Semi-Final against West Indies.

In 2013, During 2013 ICC Women’s Cricket 50-over World Cup happening in India, Perry made an impactful performance in the Final match against West Indies.
Despite having an ankle injury, she bowled her full spell and took 3 wickets. After this performance, she got a nickname called “Australia’s Limping Hero”.
Ellyse was also the Player of the Match in 2013 Women’s Ashes, for her all round performance with bat and bowl. She score 102 runs and took 8 wickets in that match.
In 2014, Perry again won the third consecutive World T20 Title for the team by her all-round performance in the finals against England, where she took 2 wickets and played match winning knock of 31 runs.
In 2015 Women’s Ashes, She plays a critical role in regaining the trophy by taking 6 wickets in second and 9 wickets in overall test match.
On 21 July 2015, Ellyse crossed milestone of 1000 runs in ODI Cricket.
In the year 2016 and 2017, Two ICC tournaments of 2016 World T20 and 2017 Cricket World Cup happened in which Perry individually played statistically best. Despite the team is not doing good, In 23 ODI innings, she made 17 times 50+ scores at an average of 89.53.
In 2017-18 Women’s Ashes in a Day-Night Test, Ellyse Perry played a historic innings of 213 not out which is a new record of Highest score by an Australian in Women’s Test.
In 2018- 19 World T20 Tournament, Perry has crossed two individual milestones while regaining the Title for the 4th consecutive time. She became the first cricketer for Australia to play 100 T20 international matches and became the first Australian to take 100 T20I wickets.
On Feb 24 2019, Ellyse scored her maiden ODI century against New Zealand where she scored 107* not out.
In the month of July, 2019, Perry crossed some of best milestones in her cricketing career. She took her best bowling figures in ODIs, 7 wickets in a match and in the same month, Perry became 4th women to hit 2 consecutive Ashes Test centuries.
After that, Perry became the first player to reach the milestone of 1000 runs and 100 wickets in T20Is.
In the same year, Perry became the 3rd bowler who took 150 wickets in ODI. In September, She also scored her second century in which she scored 112* runs which is also her highest individual score.
In the very next two year, Ellyse perry was also the part of Australian team in 2 world cup winning tournaments of 2020 World T20 and 2022 Cricket 50-over World Cup.
