Salman was born on 27 December 1965 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. His full name is Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan. He is an Actor, Film producer and a Television Personality from India.

Family

His father Salim Khan who is also an actor, producer and a screenwriter.  As a screenwriter, he wrote the screenplays, stories and scripts for numerous Bollywood films. Salim Khan is one half of the prolific screenwriting duo of Salim–Javed, along with Javed Akhtar. His mother Sushila Charak is a Homemaker.

He have two brothers and two sisters named Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, Arpita Khan, Alvira Khan Agnihotri.

Education

Salman did his schooling from St. Stanislaus High School and Scindia School. Later he enrolled in St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai but he dropped out.

Salman started his career with a J.K Bihari directed film Biwi ho to Aisi in 1988. He played a supporting role in this film.

Debut

Khan debuts as a lead role in Sooraj Barjatya’s romantic family drama Maine Pyar Kiya in 1989. Maine Pyar Kiya was also dubbed in English as When Love Calls, in Spanish as Te Amo, and in Telugu as Prema Paavuraalu.

He also got nominated for Best Actor and Best Male Debut in 1989 awards ceremony. This film became one of the highest grossing film of Salman Khan.
