Kiara Advani’s real name is Alia Advani which she changed when starting her career in Bollywood. Advani was born on 31 July 1991 in Bombay, India to Genevieve and Jagdeep Advani.
Career
Kiara made her debut with 2014 film Fugly. After that she did MS Dhoni: The Untold Story opposite Sushant Singh Rajput and Lust Stories opposite Vicky Kaushal and got praised for her acting.
Later on, She received wider attention in 2019 for her role in Kabir Singh as Preeti, starring Shahid Kapoor. This film became her highest-grossing release with over 378 crore rupees worldwide. After that she worked with Diljit Dosanjh, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor in Good Newwz which also crossed 200 crores. She won the IIFA Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Good Newwz.
After that, Kiara featured in Kargil war film named Shershah, based on the life of Late Captain Vikram Batra played by Siddharth Malhotra. Her role in film as Dimple Cheema is praised by most of the critics. The film released digitally on Amazon Prime Video, on which it became the most-streamed Indian film.
She also worked with Kartik Aryan in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and with Varun in JugJugg Jeeyo in 2022.
